Spring Day

Yesterday was so beautiful and warm - a treasured spring day. There's still some snow around but with double-digit temps, it won't last much longer.

Straws Suck!

Especially on Earth Day!

I may have posted these infographics before, but it's such an important topic, I don't care if I'm repeating myself.

We all need to cut down our buying, using and throwing out of single-use plastic products as well as making the issue known to businesses that persist in handing them out for free. I'm not convinced that we need paper straws either. What do you think?

These infographics originate in the UK. They are available for sale as postcards or posters from Less Plastic.

Mapping the Future: 5G Connectivity

Because I love tackling National Trails in the UK (Pembrokeshire Coast Path in 2002, West Highland Way in 2013, Hadrian's Wall in 2017 and Offa's Dyke coming up in 2018) I'm also a fan of Ordnance Survey Maps.

Ordnance Survey has a long history of mapping Great Britain, dating from the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion in Scotland, but they also do a lot more

Here's some interesting information about a new project, the way we may be connecting in the future, combining mapping data with connectivity in the UK.
