Niagara Falls

You know it has been a cold winter when Niagara Falls freezes over.

Despite the conditions, the falls are still attracting numerous visitors keen to witness the incredible sight.

This photo is from January during the Polar Vortex, but the falls is still frozen. The following pictures are from Monday, March 3. At night it's lit up:

The American Falls and Horseshoe Falls looked remarkably different in the bitter temperatures.

I prefer the daytime look:

The falls also partially froze back in January when the US East Coast was hit by a 'polar vortex'.
